Full of pathos and perfectly observed,
Waiting for Someone is an absorbing and
exquisitely crafted drama following the
interwoven lives of five small town
residents.
Louis (the always fabulous Jean-Pierre
Daroussin) is a divorced father and bar
manager, who fights loneliness by
meeting Sabine (Florence Loiet-Caille) in
a hotel room, though he has to pay for
this privilege. Louis is close to his
sometime melancholic sister Agnes
(Emmanuelle Devos, Read My Lips), a
teacher who has long been married to
Jean-Philippe (Eric Caravaca). One day,
Agnes encounters Stephane (Sylvain
Dieuaide), a young man from her past
who hides a dark secret...
