A mysterious affair puzzles the French authorities: a string of foreboding signs are strewn across Paris and their meaning is not clear until calamity hits: the Plague returns, wiping out scores of victims in its wake. More problematically, it appears that some malevolent soul is single-handedly controlling the outbreak… Police captain Adamsberg (Jose Garcia) must lead an investigation that takes him through a juxtaposition of 15th-century Europe and modern-day France.
