Based on Christian Jacq's best-selling novel, Philippe Leclerc's animation invites younger audiences to discover the adventures of a princess and the not-soyoung, the mysticism of Akhenaton.

Ancient Egypt, Akhesa, a ravishing 14- year-old princess, daughter of Pharoah Akhenaton, is far from imaging that she will someday rule over Egypt... With the help of Prince Thout, she runs away to Elephantine Island in search of her exiled mother, travelling from the Nile's edges to the burning dunes of the desert.

With innocence their only weapon, Akhesa and Thout overcome hurdles and ordeals, and together have an extraordinary destiny.
